Back in 1995 a need was identified to better service the retail lighting industry. In the early days clients found their shopfitters couldn’t deliver the appropriate response times and capabilities once installation was complete. With increasing occupational health and safety standards being introduced the best alternative was to pay a standard electrician to service stores. For retail chains this meant numerous accounts, wasted time with subpar service. VIP introduced the ‘no call out fee’ option and working at an installed price that delivered a much needed alternative to traditional service.
As it does today, back in the 1990’s VIP Lighting understood the needs of large retailers and commercial business. We developed an extensive network of Franchisees, exclusive contactors and sub-contractors nationwide in Australia. In 2005 that network expanded into New Zealand. Today we are a leader in delivering retail and commercial lighting and electrical solutions nationwide across Australia & New Zealand.
